Every property on the two census days, night by night. Same search, same basis, two days apart: what Rex changed, what the market changed, and who moved.
Both censuses used the same Booking.com city search for Canberra, two adults, one room, one night, lowest displayed rate in AUD including taxes and charges. The 16 September census covered 16 to 30 September; the 18 September census covers 18 September to 2 October. The 13 overlapping nights, 18 to 30 September, are compared here; 1 and 2 October appear only in the later census.

Rex on both days
Read the headline with care. The +$15 average hides a room-type effect: on 2 nights the lowest displayed room changed between the two days (Mon 21 Sep: King Room → Twin Room (+$28); Wed 23 Sep: King Room → Suite with Steam Room (+$182)), and those substitutions supply most of the increase. On the 8 nights where the King Room was the displayed room on both days, the average change is −$5. The market median fell on 8 of the 13 nights and rose on 4; the largest single-night Rex moves were Wed 23 Sep +$182; Sat 19 Sep −$36; Mon 21 Sep +$28.
Rex was not listed on 18 September for Fri 18 Sep and Tue 22 Sep. Two days earlier those nights showed Fri 18 Sep: King Room with Balcony at $290 with 2 left; Tue 22 Sep: King Suite at $386 with 1 left, so the absence is consistent with the last displayed rooms having sold or been closed, not with a data gap.
On Sat 19 Sep and Sun 27 Sep the 16 September results page loaded only partially (20 cards against 37 to 39 on other nights), so the 16 September medians and percentiles for those nights rest on fewer rates than the 18 September figures; the rows are marked †.

- Each census is a single capture of the public search results: 16 September late morning and 18 September early afternoon, Canberra time, about 50 hours apart. A change between them is a mix of the property’s own rate moves, promotions starting or ending, and rooms selling out so that a dearer room type becomes the lowest displayed.
- “Not listed” (n/l) means the property returned no rate in the city search that day. † marks nights whose 16 September page loaded only partially.
- On 16 September the Rex card carried a struck-through original price with the display at 85 percent of it on most nights; on 18 September the plan shown differs by night, as the terms column records.
- Percentiles here are averaged over the nights Rex was listed on both days, so they differ from the census pages, which average over all nights each census priced (59th on the 16 September tab, 62nd on the 18 September tab).
